Look what arrived in the mail the other day:

Many thanks to Alan Schuster, the webmaster of MyGameBalls.com, for making the certificate and sending it to me. (And thanks again to everyone who voted for me.)

Nice hardware, Zack. Tim, Kellan and I just recently received our certificate for winning the 2011 MyGameBalls.com photo scavenger hunt. Pretty cool. Tim is a big fan of winning awards!

Pretty cool. I’m gonna try to get a few votes for Junior Ballhawk of the Year in 2012. Oh, and I have it planned so that I could get quite a few commemoratives next year, too. I’ll be going to Citi Field at least 2 or 3 times so I’ll definitely get a 50th anniversary Mets. I might be going to one game at Fenway Park, I’ll be going to Oriole Park at Camden Yards once or twice in the summer, and if the Dodgers or Astros are playing any of the teams, then I could get those too. But the only commemoratives that look good are the Mets and Astros. Hopefully I’ll go down to Baltimore for an Orioles vs. Angels series so I can get a leftover 50th anniversary from the Angels and maybe catch a Pujols home run (In my dreams).

Wow, Z-Man, take a little exception to my friendly jab at your beard? No harm meant, just trying to be a wise guy. Congrats on the award. Well deserved after an epic season.
The off season blog I am looking forward to is the one on your friend Ben’s jersey collection. That will be interesting.

    Happy New Year!

I think there should be age brackets so a 34 year old doesn’t win a title that teenagers should win. Thoughts Alan J. Schuster? Zack, gonna frame that and hang that in your apartment and impress girls with it? hahahaha

Hey Zack, no mention of Nationals Park as one of the top 10 stadiums for snagging in “The Baseball”? I just bought it at Barnes and Noble yesterday. I was pretty impressed with it, but I was surprised that you didn’t mention Nationals Park. After all, you had a 28 ball performance and a few other 20+ ball performances there.
mlblogssnaggingautographsandbaseballs- When I used to go to Shea Stadium, there might have been batting practice one time on a Saturday day game, but that was it. And I went to about 10 Saturday day games.

    COOK & SON BATS-
Nice! I didn’t know that there were other certificates. Congrats to Tim and Kellan. (And to you.)

    SKIM-
Sounds like you have it all figured out for this coming season. As for Nationals Park, it’s incredible for BP, but that’s only because it opens so early and no one goes there. The layout of the stadium itself is actually pretty lame. The bullpen in left field is totally in the way, the 2nd deck in right field steals lots of homers, and there’s no cross aisle anywhere, except in the fancy section behind home plate, which is really tough to get into.

    BILL YATES-
    Ha! I hope so. I’m still waiting . . .

    BIG GLOVE BOB-
No offense taken. I was smiling when I read your previous comment. I know you love me. And you’ll be glad to know that I’m finally working on the entry about Ben’s collection — might even have it up later tonight.

    TIM-
I impress girls by hiding all of my baseball stuff. (And showing them other things.)

    SNAGGING AUTOGRAPHS AND BASEBALLS-
Some teams never seem to hit before day games that follow night games. Other teams seem to hit regardless. It all just depends. Maybe, one out of every three or four games like this, there’ll be BP? Just a wild guess.

    HOOKS FAN-
    Thank you.

I’ll be on my computer until about 8 o’clock, so I hope the entry about Ben’s collection is up by then.

    SKIM-
As you already know, the entry about Ben has been posted. Lots of people seem to have enjoyed it.

    JANASHA RICHMOND-
Thanks for checking out my blog, and yeah, you could say that I like baseball. I’m really not sure where you could sell the photo, and if you’re IN it, I don’t know if there’ll be much interest from the public. But I’m really not an expert on these things. Sorry. Wish I could tell you more.
