Who knew that snagging is popular in Nigeria?

Looks like you need to do some campaigning in Central-West US… I guess there isn’t as much baseball there anyways

Heh!
I can’t believe someone from Nigeria posted but no one from Asia. Baseball is a major sport in many Asian countries, and as far as I know, Africa isn’t a place where baseball is big.
I would’ve expected a few Japanese and Korean people to have checked out this site, so I’m surprised.
Zack
NICK-
Yeah, I don’t know what’s up with that. Clearly, the Yankees’ new stadium shoud be built in Utah.
YANKS FAN-
I’m surprised too. I suspect it might’ve been someone who somehow randomly stumbled across my blog this one time. I can’t imagine I have a regular reader in Nigeria, but who knows?

It appears there’s a feud brewing between two bobblehead collectors right here on MLBlogs. Check out this entry on one blog:
it’d weird but i was in LA DJing a party over the weekend and a guy that i hadnt seen in years asked me about snagging balls…turns out he tracked me down by googling my e mail address and it led him here!
Zack
THOMAS-
Hunting. Hmm. I own exactly ZERO bobbleheads. Just never got into ’em.
MIKE-
I love it. What kind of music were you playing? What kind of event?

hey it was a benefit for the *** and lesbian task force. i was playing a retro set of old disco and early house with some 90’s stuff thrown in as well…i’ll send you some CDs if you would like
Zack
Nice. I appreciate the offer, but I’ll tell ya what…just send me a list of what you played (if that’s not too hard). Chances are I already own a lot of it, and then I can just look for the few things I don’t know. Okay?
tswechtenberg@gmail.com
sure, no problem

Zack…..here’s the scoop on Nigeria. The newly formed Peace Corps goes in there in the ’60s. The volunteers introduce baseball, and it works for awhile. Baseball fades out for awhile, but about 15 years ago it starts picking up again. Coaches from the US go over, and America and the International Baseball Federation send money, etc, and now the game is taking off again. This leads me to one conclusion….we can now draw a direct line from President Kennedy, who founded the Peace Corps, to Zack Hample, baseball snagger of the 21st century. Unreal, huh?

Nice theory, Dave. Or maybe it was just that someone from America who likes baseball went to Nigeria for a vacation or something.
Oh, and Zack, I answered your question on the last entry,
Zack

Super.

Way to go for making the front page of the Blogs Zack. As far as the bobble feud goes, the other party has members on its forum that have taken information from me and used it as their own, and also alot of its mods on their so called forum have ripped me off on their end of trades. That’s why I asked you to see what you could do about promoting me on your end.

Zack, how did you get that map of where you’re readers are?
Zack
ERIC-
Thanks, and I understand what you’re saying. From now on, whenever I see or hear talk of bobbles, I’ll send people your way. You got it.
…that you can use for free to track visitors to your site. Takes a little while to set up an account, like maybe half an hour to fill out all the preferences, but it’s worth it. On my own blog, you can check out the “Recent Visitor Map” and all sorts of things by clicking the “View my Stats” link on the left panel under the “Hit Counter” section.

Zack…hey, i’ve been away for awhile, but yeah, the Nigeria info is real. I got curious so I googled “Nigeria baseball” or something like that and got the information. OK, it’s a stretch to draw a direct line from President Kennedy to you,but the possible loose connections, playing out over the decades, are there. What I really thought about the Nigerian contact is that it was cool that people are checking in with you over the net, which was unimaginable when I was younger. That, to me, is what is genuinely unreal. Have a good one my friend…
Zack
Welcome back from wherever you were, and thanks for tracking down all that info. Even if the connection is a stretch, I still like it.

NELSON-
I feel your pain.

What’s up! Great to hear from you. Are you saying you have stubs from the game when I caught the Bonds homer? I got a bunch too, so believe it or not, I don’t really need any more. Thanks, though, and keep in touch! Oh, and by the way, I’m probably not going to SF. If I knew I could get in, then yeah, I’d probably go, but that’s a pretty tough ticket.

Anyone here a big bobblehead fan?
Maybe they thought snagging was another hunting technique?
I’m not a big bobblehead fan(I have 3 or 4 hockey bobbles), but I do think they are one of the best giveaways at sporting events.
