1. senoroctubre@boston-redsox.net

well i think zack should have gotten a chance to see a world series game.

mets and red sox will get them next year zack

  2. dodgerdude511@aol.com

    Think of it this way:

Your dreaded nightmare like crowds at Shea next season wont be as bad as you think!

  3. sglobus@wesleyan.edu

Thats what ya get for hating on the yanks. Should have just left well enough alone, gloating never gets you anywhere until you’ve won something of consequence.

  4. nelsonvarona@msn.com

Zack how do you like your 15 million dollar statue? The Mets looooooooose!!!! Gotcha

  5. Zack

Thanks. Did you see the fan with the “Senor Octobre” sign in the bleachers?

I hate you. No I don’t. I know exactly how you feel, and I don’t blame you one bit.

Thanks for trying to cheer me up, but I gotta argue with you here. The Mets drew over 3.3 million this season. World Series or not, that number will only increase. Is there a difference between 3.6 and 3.8 million? Yes. But not much.

    Yeah, yeah…

That’s fine. Dis the mets. I deserve it. I can take it. They choked. What can I say?

You’re right. It was a sad display, and yet I can’t blame Beltran for taking that pitch. I give Wainwright all the credit for flat-out beating him. That happens sometimes, you know.

  6. Zack

What’s with all these quotes? Fine. I guess I’ll share one, too…

“There’s one word that describes baseball: ‘You never know’.”

    –Joaquin Andujar

And that pretty much sums up what happened in the NLCS.

  7. jimmyjoejoejrchabadu@hotmail.com

Mets or Cards it doesn’t matter who made it to the WS, cause the Tigers will roar and sweep em in 4!

O yea next year the Jays are taking it, you heard it 1st from me.

  8. Zack

I think we very well could see a sweep. But then again, what do I know? All my playoff predictions have been off.

  9. jimmyjoejoejrchabadu@hotmail.com

Some people have the gift others don’t. Anyway Im gonna use the power of video games to predict the winner. Last year I used MVP 05 to predict the ploffs from the LCS to the WS and I was correct in every prediction even the amount of games excpet it predicted Sox over Angels in 6 instead of 5. Dat was pretty insane, so I’m gonna do the same again this year and I’ll post on what happens soon.

  10. Zoe

Zack, we’ll meet up at Shea next year. I’m even thinking about getting a glove and maybe learning how to use it!

I want Rob to take me to a batting cage so I can learn how to hit, too. He says the one at Chelsea Piers is a huge rip off, way too pricey. Any suggestions?

And rock on with your publication okay? Keep us updated. Great year, Zack!

  11. riyeff.dave@mail.da.state.wi.us

Zack…No more quotes, but I had to get in here one more time today. That was definitely one of the most dramatic game 7’s I’ve seen. And the Endy Chavez play? I’t’s maybe once every 50 years you see a play where you find yourself yelling Oh !!! as you jump off the couch, and then you think, “the guy on first! the guy on first!” and the the relay man gets the ball, and then the guy is doubled off, to end the inning, in a one to one game, with everything on the line. beautiful!! Makes you glad to be a baseball fan !

  12. kayleexxx@aol.com

jimmy-good luck getting past my red sox next year.06 was just a off year they will be back in 07.

  13. zneufeld2@hotmail.com

Willie should have used glavine instead of floyd to bunt. Anyway im probably heading to shea tommorrow to get some autos and say some goodbyes to some mets. Hope to see you at the garden maybey you will get a basketball or another puck!

  14. kayleexxx@aol.com

Um Charlie,Don’t the rockies have to make it to the playoffs first to win the world series?

  15. trueplaya_202@hotmail.com

****!!! zack comericas a nice stadium go there :D!

if not you plan on putting up end of season totals soon?

    Tigers in 6!

  16. Zack

It’d be great to finally meet you. Next year. Yes. I think all batting cages in NYC are too expensive. I briefly worked at a place called Frozen Ropes, which is now called The Baseball Center. It’s underneath the HUGE Apple Bank on Broadway between 73rd and 74th. I don’t know how much it costs these days. Probably way too much. You have to rent a cage for at least half an hour, and I think it’s like 40 bucks. But you know, if you go with a few friends and each pay 10, it’s not such a bad deal. Other than that, I don’t know what to tell you. Oh, and I’ll definitely keep you (and everyone) updated on my new book. I have a few things to say about it, but I’ll wait ’til after the World Series.

My neighbors must’ve thought someone was getting tortured in my apartment because I let out SUCH a shriek when Endy caught that ball. Amazing doesn’t begin to capture it.

The BoSox will have to make some serious changes to compete with both the Yanks and Jays in 2007.

I thought it would’ve been a good idea to bunt in that situation. I know every out is precious, especially when there are three to go, but still. That surprised me. If Floyd had grounded into a double play…oh man, I don’t even want to THINK about what would’ve happened to Willie.

I’m with Kaylee there. Baby steps first for the Rockies. Not saying it can’t happen, but they have a loooong way to go.

I don’t like Comerica. (There. I said it.) And I have NO ticket connections in either town. I wouldn’t have a place to stay (except a hotel), and I’d have to pay for flights, so there’s NO WAY I’m going to the World Series. My season is done, and I’ll be posting a big geeky entry with all my stats as soon as the Series wraps up. You think the Cardinals are going to win two games? Nah.

  17. trueplaya_202@hotmail.com

the cards could very well win it its a whole new season now and i always think NL has teh advantage with the DH

because i liek the tigers im saying tigers in 6.

why dont you liek comerica? i went last year it was prety nice

  18. jimmyjoejoejrchabadu@hotmail.com

Tigers will sweep, okay so stop making some bad predictions. Anyway Comerica is too big and I doubt theres a lotta homers during BP for snagging.

Its all about hockey season anyway. GO LEAFS GO!

  19. kayleexxx@aol.com

zack-while I agree.I think that the red sox could have competed last year if it werent for all their injuries to guys like Tim wakefeild curt schilling, jason varitek, manny ramirez, ortiz was out also for awhile.

  20. zneufeld2@hotmail.com

I went today and did great. I got willie twice but i didnt day anything about the bunt I also got delgado, beltran, castro, valentin sandy alomar and roberto alomar! Yea good old robbie aloman was there with his dad.

  21. senoroctubre@boston-redsox.net

no, unfortunately i missed it. :[ is there a video link to the game maybe or that part? what inning was it?

  22. Zack

Good call about the Cardinals. They looked sharp! I don’t like Comerica because it’s hard to snag balls there, and it’s really not THAT pretty. I think the whole place is overrated.

How can it be all about hockey season when it’s the World Series? You’re right about Comerica. It’s just too **** big.

You can’t make excuses for injuries. It happens to just about every team.

Cool. Were there lots of other autograph seekers or was it extremely easy?

I don’t remember. I think it was early in the game, and the fan was definitely in the left-center field bleachers.

  23. zneufeld2@hotmail.com

There were between 10-15 everybody there was pretty cool about signing except delgado although he did get about 10 people.

  24. zneufeld2@hotmail.com

Well there wasnt a game and not alot of people think to do that but I kinda wish i went the day before when more mets were there.

  25. Zack

Yeah, I guess it would take a SERIOUSLY hardcore fan to make the trek out to Shea when there’s no game…and AFTER the Mets got shut down.

  26. Charlie

    Go rockies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  27. Zack

You’re my source for insider Rockies news. Have you heard anything about Ryan Speier and when he might return?
